LEMON TAHINI DRESSING

Updated: May 21, 2020

I think a lot of people imagine salads as being a healthy option.

While I agree, there is a HUGE difference between the traditional American salad combination and one that will fuel your body to function optimally.

One of the worst things we can do is drench our salads in store-bought salad dressings.

They are filled with fake flavorings, MSG (which is a neurotoxin that causes nerve damage), food dyes, tons of added salt, fake sugars like high-fructose corn syrup and unhealthy fats that are hard for the body to digest.

It is so easy to whip up a single serve salad dressing for yourself.

Lemon Tahini is one of my favorites.

Quick, healthy and most likely all ingredients are on hand.

INGREDIENTS

(single-serve)

1 fresh lemon, juiced

1 tablespoon tahini

1 teaspoon maple syrup

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

pinch of sea salt

(multi serving)

2 fresh lemons, juiced

1/3 cup tahini

1 tablespoon maple syrup

1 teaspoon garlic powder, or one minced bulb of garlic

pinch of sea salt

water to desired consistency (2-5 tablespoons)

DIRECTIONS

1. In a small bowl, combine all ingredients and mix together.

2. Pour on salad and enjoy.

(multi serve)

3. Store in glass container in fridge.

NOTES

- Tahini is ground sesame seeds. Make sure you get a good quality brand or it can be quite bitter. I like

the brand Soom, which can be found HERE.

- I like my dressing pretty lemony. If it is too strong for you, drop to 1/2 lemon for single serve and one

lemon for multi-serve (you may need to add more water).

- If you make the multi-serve portion, make sure to let set in fridge for at least 30 minutes if using a

garlic bulb for the flavors to combine.

- Will store in fridge for 5 days.
