WELCOME TO DAY 4 OF COCKTAIL WEEK!
Grapefruit, lime, tequila (or mezcal) and jalapeño is an excellent combination if you ask me.
Big tequila girl here, until I found mezcal that is. 😉
The two can be used interchangeably here. Use whatever you have on your bar cart. They both work.
This recipe is so simple, packs a punch and if you are like me..you will feel it.
Jalapeño is optional of course, but like why wouldn't you?! 🤪
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Cocktail shaker
Cocktail glasses
Citrus juicer
FOR INGREDIENTS
Tequila or mezcal
Lime juice - fresh squeezed
Grapefruit juice - fresh squeezed
Splash of sparkling water - or my favorite grapefruit kombucha
Jalapeño - sliced, optional
Simple syrup - optional
Like I said, easy peasy lime and grapefruit squeezy.
Combine tequila, lime and grapefruit juice in a cocktail shaker (& simple syrup, if using) and shake to chill and combine. Coat the rim of the glass in lime juice, twirl in margarita salt and top off with sparkling water or kombucha. Enjoy!

1/2 cup sugar (honey will work too) + 1/2 cup water. Combine over low heat until sugar is dissolved. Will keep in glass jar with a lid in the fridge for one month.
As always, adjust as you see fit. This recipe makes one drink.
