Hi there you radical humans.
How the heck are ya?
Great, I hope.
While I don't use the new year as my "go line" for change and growth it is a great time to get quiet and take a look at what is making me happy and what isn't.
Truthfully, I do this about every season.
Change is happening all around us, always.
Taking a step back and analyzing what life looks like in this season allows you to make adaptations to ensure a peace and joy filled life.
I'm a frequent jot journaler.
While I don't sit down and full on journal often, I jot journal almost daily. & by that, I mean I jot a moment or two down in my bullet journal that made me feel something.
Maybe it made me feel upset, maybe it made me feel loved, maybe it was an important goal I reached.
I jot it down.
By doing this, I can take a look back over the previous months and see what parts of life were serving me and what were not.
& this is the sweet spot where I can take action.
Action for change.
Now that I've explained that and hopefully taught you something about tracking life moments (it doesn't have to be hard, jot journaling takes seconds), let's talk about what I'm bringing forth this year and what I've had enough of.
In's and Out's if you will.
INS
phone calls with my mom
nervous system regulation
trips with friends
my face on animal fur
higher protein breakfasts
healthy boundaries
weighted blankets
taking advantage of the sun when it's out
more reading
learning new skills
more listening
using breath to control anxiety
time in nature
OUTS
worrying about how people view me
time with people who deplete me
people pleasing
excessive screen time
junk food
setting unrealistic goals
feeling unworthy
letting people interrupt me
instant gratification
need to be understood
I would love to hear your ins and out for the year in the comments below if you'd like to share!
Hope this post inspires you to either take up jot journaling in your current calendar and/or to take a moment and visualize what makes you feel good and what doesn't.
You are the commander of your life.
Choose the things that make you feel good!
Hope you all are having a happy day!
As always, feel free to reach out whenever.
Like, comment and share this post.
It really helps me out more than you know.
Thanks for being here. 🫶🏼
