Can't stop with the smoothies.
Been rotating through about four different recipes and have perfected this one.
It is so damn refreshing for a warm summer morning. I also enjoy it as an afternoon snack.
It's hydrating, citrusy and fresh.
& I can't wait for you to try it.
Best part?! It gives you some greens without tasting too green!

INGREDIENTS
2 Lemons - one whole peeled + deseeded, one juiced
2 stalks kale
1/2 tablespoon flaxseed meal, optional
2 dates, pitted
1 thumb of ginger
1 frozen banana (or sub half of the banana for half a cucumber)
Handful of ice
Water, amount per your desired consistency. Start with 1 cup.
DIRECTIONS
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
Pour into glass jar and garnish with a lemon slice if you desire. Enjoy!
NOTES
If you don't have the energy or patience for peeling and deseeding a lemon, just do two juiced.
Subbing the cucumber for banana fully gives a totally different flavor profile and texture. I recommend still using half a banana. It adds creaminess, but the cucumber is very hydrating. Love doing this in the afternoon when I've been outside all day.
Adding your ingredients to the blender in the order I've listed them will help with the ease of blending.
Feel free to add spinach if kale isn't your thing.
