It's no secret that I'm obsessed with peaches. 🍑
They are without a doubt my favorite food in the whole world.
Like, single ingredient food anyway.
& I can only get good ones for a month out of the year.
Which is so sad.
But I make the most of it.
I pretty much adopt a peach diet for the month of August every year.
& by the way...
you will NEVER see me eat a peach from a jar. No. Just no.
I will freeze some but even then they still don't quite do it for me.
I almost always drink a smoothie for breakfast.
Unless we are in the dead of winter. Then I go for oats.
But, in the month of August, this is my absolute go-to!
PEACH CRISP SMOOTHIE
summer warmth through a straw
The fresh peach flavor, warming cinnamon, hearty oats, filling protein.
It's all a perfect combination.
Like makes you want to put on a sexy Luke Combs song and dance seductively (with smoothie in hand) on your front porch type of feels.
That's how good.

INGREDIENTS
2 large peaches
1 scoop protein - I use Four Sigmatic vanilla protein powder
2 dates, pitted
1/4 cup oatmeal
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon flaxseed
handful of spinach - optional
1 banana, frozen is ideal
handful of ice
1/2 -1 cup water
DIRECTIONS
Peel and slice your peaches, add to blender. In this order, add : protein powder, dates, cinnamon, oatmeal, flaxseed, optional spinach, banana, ice, water.
Blend in a high speed blender until smooth.
Pour into glass, add a straw and enjoy!
NOTES
I did not add spinach simply for photo purposes of this recipe, but I normally do. It's a good way to get additional greens in.
I mention the layering of ingredients for easy blending. This stacking method will allow the smoothie to blend nicely without having to use a tamper.
