Welcome to my January supersix! The space where I talk about my 6 favorite things from the month.

but long story short...
I'm a virgo, type A, "perfectionist" and not much a consumer which meant it was actually difficult for me to come up with 6 things every month.
I decided to scrap that mentality and just show up when I can and share simple things too.
So here we are.

Alright, these babies are a superior boot. This is my first pair of Tecovas and they were so dang easy to break in. I love the short heel. They give just enough height to lift the booty but not hurt the ball of your foot. I also love that the toe is just slightly wider than most "O" shaped boots, which keeps your toes from being scrunched together, allowing all day wear. They are absolutly fabulous. They are on "Last Call" which means they are on sale, but not returnable and very few sizes left. Check them out HERE if you're interested. This stuff is golden. I have been using their face moisturizer for several years now. I believe since 2018. I never really paid attention to the fact that this cleanser was available. Ran across it at Natural Grocers a handful of months ago and fell in love with it. First of all, the smell is wonderful. It leaves your face feeling clean but not stripped which I love. Not sure how great it is at removing makeup since I don't wear much and when I do, I use a makeup remover, but for washing the face it is phenomenal. Bonus, it's a clean brand. Hormone healthy! Holy heck and bob this stuff is magic. I ran out of my foundation in October but was leaving on a trip and knew I would be able to use my darker color there so decided I would cross that path when I got home. I had been using this under my eyes as concealer for about a year and then all of a sudden I was so pale I just started using it all over my face as foundation. & it rocked my world. It's not matte and it's not dewy. It's just perfect. It's light in coverage but also buildable for those pesky areas. It doesn't settle into fine lines and pores and just melts right into the skin. "THE INMATE" BY FREIDA MCFADDEN
A must read. I am a harsh book critic. Most of the books I read in 2024 recieved two or three stars (a bad book year - but that's besides the point). This book recieved 5 stars from me. It was a quick read, the chapters were short, but they always ended on just enough of a cliff hanger that you had to keep reading. It was great. & the last line of the book really made it feel complete but also made me want to throw it out the window. Check it out HERE if you're interested.

The best jeans in my closet to date. They are perfect. They are on the thinner side, not your stiff old jean material. They are stretchy, but not the kind of stretchy where they don't look like they fit after a few hours. Or even days. They fit in all the right places and they are just slightly flared so they fit nicely over a boot. I have the color "Lacey" but they come in two other colors as well.
